Necessary ingredients :
1½ cup grated gourd |
½ Cup milk |
½ Cup mawa |
¼ cup ghee |
½ Cup sugar |
5-6 Almonds chopped |
5-6 Cashew nuts chopped |
1 tablespoon raisins |
pinch green food color (optional) |
¼ tsp cardamom powder |
How to make Lauki Ka Halwa (Bottle Gourd Halwa) | lauki ka halwa recipe| dudhi halwa recipe | loki ka halwa recipe With Step by step photos
Method:
1. First of all, peel the bottle gourd and wash it well and grate it. steamed yogurt pudding
2. Heat ghee in a pan on medium heat and put chopped cashews, almonds and raisins in it,
take out a plate after turning golden on low flame.
3. Put the grated bottle gourd inside the remaining ghee and cook it for 2-3 minutes while stirring continuously with a spoon.
4. After 2-3 minutes, now add milk to it and cook it in the open with a spoon, stirring occasionally, until the milk dries up.
5. When the milk dries up, add khoya and mix it well and cook.

7. Mix all the ingredients well and add a pinch of green food color to it.
(Skip this step if you don’t want to add food coloring)
8. Cook the halwa till it becomes thick, stirring continuously with a spoon.

10. Very tasty and delicious Lauki Ka Halwa (Doodhi Halwa) is ready. You can serve it hot or even after it is cold.

1. While making bottle gourd pudding, taste the bottle gourd a little, sometimes gourd is bitter too.
2. Do not use the middle part of the gourd while grated the bottle gourd.
3. You can also use condensed milk instead of khoya in halwa.
4. You can increase or decrease the amount of sugar according to your taste.
