necessary ingredients :
For Kadhi:
½ cup curd |
3 tablespoon gram flour |
3 cup water |
2 tablespoon oil |
½ teaspoon Mustard |
½ teaspoon cumin |
¼ tsp asafetida |
½ tsp black pepper powder |
2 whole dry red chili |
¼ tsp carom seeds |
½ tsp fenugreek seeds |
1 tsp whole coriander |
½ tsp finely chopped garlic |
¼ tsp finely chopped ginger |
1 chopped green chilies |
1 finely chopped onion |
½ tsp turmeric powder |
1 tsp coriander powder |
½ tsp red chili powder |
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves |
1 tsp salt or as per taste |
For Onion Pakoras:
2 Onions roughly chopped |
1 cup besan |
¼ tsp turmeric powder |
2 finely chopped green chilies |
½ inch finely chopped ginger |
¼ tsp carom seeds |
pinch asafoetida |
½ tsp whole coriander |
a pinch of soda |
½ cup finely chopped spinach |
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves |
½ tsp salt or to taste |
oil for frying |
For tempering:
2 tbsp ghee |
1 teaspoon cumin |
¼ tsp asafoetida |
2 whole red chilies |
½ tsp red chili powder |

process :
For Punjabi Kadhi:
1. First put curd and gram flour inside a mixer jar.
2. Make a smooth paste by running the mixer for 1 minute. steamed yogurt pudding
3. Now heat oil in a pan or kadai on medium heat. Now add cumin, mustard seeds, fenugreek, carom seeds, black pepper, whole coriander, asafoetida and whole red chili and fry for 30 seconds.
4. Now add finely chopped ginger, garlic and green chili and fry for 10 seconds.
5. Now add finely chopped onion and fry till it becomes golden. Rajma recipe in hindi
6. When the onion is fried, then add turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chili powder to it.
7. When the spices are fried, add curd mixture, salt and 3 cups of water.
8. Cook it on low flame for 4-5 minutes and keep the curry on the side.
For Onion Pakoras:
1. In a bowl, put turmeric powder, carom seeds, asafetida, whole coriander, finely chopped green chilies, ginger, baking soda and salt inside the chopped onions.
2. Now add gram flour, spinach and finely chopped green coriander, mix all the things well and mash it a little until the dough becomes soft.
3. Prepare a mixture of pakora by adding 2 teaspoons or water as required.
4. Keep the oil to heat on medium heat. Wet your hand with water and drop a small ball-sized amount of the mixture into the hot oil.

1.Heat ghee in a tempering pan and prepare tempering of cumin, whole coriander, whole red chili, asafetida and red chili powder.
